“We decided to try to get healthier this year; our son, who is a member of YMCA Lytham saw an advert for the ‘Couch to 5k’ and thought it would be something we could both manage and enjoy together!
It was tricky to start with but each week got easier and the rest of the group was very supportive, especially Scott our YMCA leader, and we all got on well.
Halfway through the course we were beginning to feel fitter and jogging quicker.
We would definitely recommend the course and if jogging is not for you, Scott was happy for us to walk instead.
Although the course has finished, some of the group still meet up each week either to walk or jog. It has been fun and definitely got us off the couch!”
