What is the Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme?
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme is a series of exercise and information sessions designed to help you get back on your feet again after a heart attack, heart surgery or cardiac procedure. You’ll be working with our fully qualified British Heart Foundation BACPR instructors, who can offer specialised you specialist Phase IV Cardiac classes to help you exercise in a safe and effective environment.
Who is it for?
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme is available for you if:
- You’ve had a heart attack.
- You’ve had a coronary angioplasty.
- You’ve had a coronary bypass surgery or other types of heart surgery.
- You’ve had an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) inserted, or you have angina or stable heart failure.
