What is the Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme?
The Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme is a Blackpool Victoria Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust acknowledged tertiary prevention service. Working closely with the Phase III Cardiac Rehabilitation team, the YMCA Your Move support people through a series of light and gentle exercise classes and informative & educational sessions that are designed to help you get active and moving after a cardiovascular event/procedure. You’ll be supported by our fully qualified level 4 BACPR Specialist Exercise Cardiac Instructors who will offer specialist support and guidance to help you exercise in a safe environment.
Who is it for?
The YMCA Your Move Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme is available for you if:
- You’ve had a heart attack.
- You’ve had a coronary angioplasty.
- You’ve had a coronary bypass surgery or other types of heart surgery.
- You’ve had an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) inserted, or you have angina or stable heart failure.
