Volunteering is a great way to try new things, meet new people, develop your skills and can make you feel good! Our volunteers get involved in lots of different areas from supporting older people, running social and physical activities, supporting the development of young people and much more.
You really can make a huge difference to the people of the Fylde Coast through volunteering just a small amount of your time. With plenty of roles to get involved in and opportunities to embrace volunteering with Your Move and the YMCA Fylde Coast is easy and we’ve now added an extra incentive.
We’ve now teamed up with Spice Time Credit who developed a Time Credit systems that value everyone’s time, no matter who they are. Time Credits open up new opportunities to try new things, learn, be healthier and have fun. For more information about how you can earn, spend and use your Spice Time Credit please click here to download the North West Time Credit Booklet.
Andrew Noble is one of our volunteers who delivers a number of community sessions for us. Having come through the Your Move Physical Activity programme Andrew wanted to help people who were in a similar position to him. Now Andrew is our voluntary Walk Leader in Fylde and takes a number of free health walks around the St Anne’s Area.
Now Andrew uses his free Gold Membership that he has earned through volunteering to keep fit and active. In particular he loves Aqua Zumba, Spinning and his own health walks of course.
